Overcoming fear consciousness

I believe the number one obstacle to many entrepreneurs’ success is fear. Fear will keep you playing small in your business not charging what you deserve. Fear drains you of your soul power and purpose.

So, what is fear exactly? Webster’s defines fear as: Alarm caused by expectation of danger; a state of dread or awe.

Fear is a scare tactic of the Ego, who's job is to keep you safe and in status quo. The ultimate objective of the E.G.O. is to Edge God Out.

Another definition of F.E.A.R that I’ve heard used is:
False Evidence Appearing Real

Top 7 Fears That Paralyze Dreams
1. Fear of failure (Feel the fear and do it anyway)
2. Fear of not being smart enough
3. Fear of not being able to perform
4. Fear of change (Read/Listen to book, “Who Moved My Cheese?”)
5. Fear of Being too old (It’s never to late to be what you might have been)
6. Fear of being too young (Often it’s the youth who bring about change)
7. Fear of not having enough time/money/experience etc.  Note: I bet if I told you there was a briefcase with a million dollars in it that belonged to you in a hut in Siberia, you would find the time, money or support necessary to get there to get it!

The Results of Fear
- Procrastination
- A life lived in quiet desperation
- Lowered self-confidence
- Feeling confused
- Feeling anxious
- Feeling insecure and inadequate
- Sabotaging thinking, speaking and actions

Secrets to Overcoming a Fear Consciousness
  • Determine what your fears are (and if they are really rational)
  • Realize that what you focus on expands-- so you might want to stop radiating fear
  • Develop an action plan that breaks goals down into small steps
  • Increase your confidence and competence with practice (start where you are)
  • Seek support from a trusted friend, adviser or coach
  • Commit to taking one action everyday towards being your very best and allow the Universe to guide you
